This article takes you through publishing website content to your content management site step by step.Login to your Publisher account. Home page Left Column Login Form
Choose Submit News from the User Menu.
Title: Enter a Title. Include the keyphrase if search engine optimization is desired.
Category: Choose a News Category
Intro Text: Enter an introductory paragraph into the Intro Text field. If you copy and paste from a word processing program or another web page clean messy code(Broom icon above field â€“ when mouse-over the icon it shows â€œCleanup messy codeâ€). Format text as desired using the formatting tools above the text field.
Main Text: Enter your main story text into the Main Text field. If you copy and paste from a word processing program or another web page clean messy code(Broom icon above field â€“ when mouse-over the icon it shows Cleanup messy code. Format text as desired using the formatting tools above the text field.
To insert images into either the Intro Text or Main Text fields place your cursor in the text where you want the image to appear. Click the I asterisk icon below the text field, will appear in your text. Repeat if you want to insert more images.
Click the Images tab under the Main Text field.
Gallery Images: Highlight(click) and image in the Gallery list to place this image where your first tag appears. Click Insert below the Gallery list. To add new images to the site upload them to your sites story images. Icons or photos.
Content Images: Highlight(click) the image in the Content Images list.
Align: Choose the desired alignment under the Edit Image column.
Alt Text: Enter Alt Text. Include the page keyphrase in your alt image description.
Border: Enter a Border value(1 or 2) if you want a border added around the image.
Repeat preceding 6 steps for each image in your story.
Click the Publishing tab below the Main Text field.
State: Choose State = Published if you want the story to appear on the site.
Access Level: Choose Registered or Special Access Level to restrict access to one of those higher levels. Registered means a visitor must register to view the content. Special means a user has to have Author, Editor or Publisher privileges to view the page. Default public for any visitor to view it.
Author Alias: Enter an alias(public name) so viewers do not see your login user name.
Start Publishing: Change if you don’t want the story to appear instantly.
Finish Publishing: Change if you want the story to stop being accessible on a certain date. NOT recommended. Should stay Never.
Show on Front Page: Check if you want the story to appear below the main front page text. NOT recommended.
Click the Meta Data tab below the Main Text field.
Meta Description: Enter a short sentence describing the page to the search engines. Be sure to include the page keyphrase.
Keywords: Enter the page primary keyphrase followed by a comma and additional keyphrases.
When all is done scroll to the top of the page, on the right side click the Save icon to save and publish your story.
